Today’s Poetic Bloomings In-Form Wednesday prompt was the Quinzaine. A Quinzaine is a French form and is an unrhymed verse of 15 syllables comprising 3 lines—7-5-3 syllable scheme. The first line is a statement, the 2nd and 3rd lines ask questions about that statement.
To follow Marie’s example and have fun with this, I’ve chosen to play a bit. Try this for yourself and see what you can come up with on your own.
Hair Loss
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear.
He wasn’t fuzzy,
though, was he?

Seaside
Suzie saw sea shells in sand.
Did she sift said sand
For sea shells?
# # # #
On the more serious side I decided to do just one for today, though I must admit that I’ve enjoyed this form a great deal. It forces the writer to think “tight,” and that’s always a good lesson to re-enforce.
